CS2 Knife Commands

If you're anything like us, you think having the regular knife in CS2 is boring. The good news is that there's a way to change things up on your own server or on a practice map if you have access to the console and sv_cheats. The even better news is that it's really easy to do!

Change Knife with Console Commands

First, enable and open the console (the default key is ` or ~). If you don't know how to do this see our CS2 and CS:GO console guide.

After opening the console, run these commands:

Then, drop your knife on the floor and hover your crosshair over it:

With your crosshair over the knife, open the console and run the following command to set it to a butterfly knife (don't worry, we explain how to change it to a different type of knife afterwards):

To change your knife to a different type of knife, change the 515 in the above command to a number from the list below.

CS2 Knife Codes

Here is a list of all knife codes in CS2. Use these with the subclass_change command (explained above) to change your knife to a different type in CS2.

• 500 - Bayonet
• 503 - Classic Knife
• 505 - Flip Knife
• 506 - Gut Knife
• 507 - Karambit
• 508 - M9 Bayonet
• 509 - Huntsman Knife
• 512 - Falchion Knife
• 514 - Bowie Knife
• 515 - Butterfly Knife
• 516 - Shadow Daggers
• 517 - Paracord Knife
• 518 - Survival Knife
• 519 - Ursus Knife
• 520 - Navaja Knife
• 521 - Nomad Knife
• 522 - Stiletto Knife
• 523 - Talon Knife
• 524 - Default knife
• 525 - Skeleton Knife
