CS2 & CS:GO alias Command

CS:GO & CS2 Compatible
alias <Alias> <"Command">

The alias command in CS:GO allows you to assign a longer command or commands to a custom phrase that you enter into your console.

Argument Information

The syntax for this command is as follows:
Name Description
Alias

The alias for the command(s) that you enter. In other words, the phrase that is typed into the console to run the alias commands. If you were to enter "example" (without quotes) here, typing example into the console would run the commands you specify.

"Command"

The command or list of commands that you want to execute when the alias command is activated/entered into the console. If you are entering more than one command, you will need to surround the list of commands with quotation marks (") and separate each command with a semi-colon. For example, "buy ak47; buy p250;" (if you wanted to buy an AK-47 and a P250).

alias Examples

alias example kill

This command binds the "kill" command to the alias "example". If you were to enable this alias (by typing the above command into your console), typing example into your console would kill you.

alias example "sv_cheats 1; give weapon_ak47"

This command binds the command "example" to the two commands "sv_cheats 1" and "give weapon_ak47". After running this command, typing the command "example" into the console would run both of those comands: meaning cheats would be enabled and you would be given an AK-47.

alias "rifle" "buy m4a1; buy ak47"

This command will make you purchase either an AK or a M4, depending on what side you're playing on, by typing "rifle" into your console. It will purchase whichever M4 you have equipped in your loadout, so doesn't need to be changed if you use the M4A4.
