Ancient Callouts

Ancient is one of the newer additions to CS:GO's Active Duty map pool. It is a bomb defusal map set at an Aztec archaeological site located deep within a rainforest. A notable characteristic of this map is that both of the bombsites are coloured very distinctively: A Site is orange and B Site is pale blue.

Callout Description
T Spawn

The area of the map where the Terrorist side spawns. It connects to Tunnel and Split.

Tunnel

The area that connects T Spawn to Water. This area is typically used by Ts when rushing the B Site, or as an alternative route to Mid.

Water

This is the space between Tunnel and Ruins.

Ruins

This spot connects to Doors allowing Ts a quick route to Ramp. It also hosts a box, useful for Ts to hide behind if they're expecting an aggressive CT push.

Doors

The double doors that lead into T Lower from Ruins.

Split

This area connects T Spawn to Elbow and Stairs. It gets its name by giving Ts quick access to both Mid and A Site.

Stairs

The area that connects Split to A Halls.

Elbow

This is the connecting area between Split and Mid. It is often used for a mid split by Ts, with supporting team members pushing through Heaven.

A Halls

The area of the map connecting Stairs and A Main. Ts can lurk here if they want to prevent a CT push from A Site.

A Main

This refers to the area which leads into Long from A Halls.

Long

Long is one of two main entrances for Ts to use when entering A Site. It allows Ts to check Boost before taking the Site.

Boost

This is the spot to the right of Long when entering A Site through A Main. It earned its callout as CTs often boost teammates up to this spot when defending A Site.

Big Box

Big Box is a large crate which sits next to A Site. It is not to be confused with Single which is another crate placed nearby.

Single

A narrower crate placed next to Plat near A Site. It can give players some cover if defending the site from Plat.

Plat

Plat is a raised area in the corner next to A Site.

A Site

A Site is the entire region between CT Lane, Short and Big Box. It is the area where the bomb can be planted on A.

Triple Box

The triple set of boxes placed towards the back of A Site. It gives Ts a safer plant position if there are CTs playing on CT Lane.

CT Lane

The area that connects CT Spawn A Site. It is one of two quick entrances to A Site for CTs.

Temple

Temple is a passageway that connects CT Spawn to A Site.

CT Spawn

The area of the map where the Counter-Terrorist side spawns. It connects to Temple, CT Lane, Snipers Nest and Alley.

Snipers Nest

A set of double doors which gives CTs a complete view of Mid. It gets its name by giving CTs a great position to snipe Mid from.

Top Mid

The set of stairs and tunnel which connects Mid to Snipers Nest.

Pit

Pit is the large cubby which sits opposite to Tunnels in Mid.

Mid

The open, Middle section of the map. It gives Ts access to the A Side of the map from either Elbow or Heaven.

Tunnels

The area of the map which connects Mid to Short. It's typically used by Ts when splitting the A Site, or a spot for CTs to support Snipers Nest players from.

Short

Short is one of two main entrances for Ts to use when entering A Site. It connects directly to A Site, however is more difficult to push from when unsupported from Long.

Xbox

Xbox is the set of two crates placed next to Heaven on Mid. It gives access for players looking to enter Heaven through Mid.

Heaven

Heaven is the area which connects T Lower to Lamp Room and Mid. It can be used by Ts for a mid split, with supporting teammates pushing from Elbow.

Lamp Room

The area of the map which connects Heaven to Dark.

Dark

Dark is the small area which connects Lamp Room and House. It also has a small cubby which CTs can use to surprise unsuspecting Ts.

T Lower

T Lower is the region between Ramp and Heaven. It gets it name through having the lowest height between these two points.

Ramp

This is the slope that connects T lower towards the B Site. This is one of two main entrances for Ts to use when pushing the B Site.

House

House connects Lamp Room to B Site. It is typically considered one of the harder entry points to the B Site, due to its narrow doorway.

B Site

B Site is the region between Ramp, House and Square. It is the area where the bomb can be planted on B.

Pillar

Pillar is the stone and wooden structure placed on B Site, which is a great cover point for CTs to use when defending the site.

Square

The large, square structure which is placed between Back Halls and B Site. It gives players two alternative routes to B Site from Back Halls.

Back Halls

Back Halls is the area which connects Alley to Square.

Alley

This is the area connecting CT Spawn to Back Halls.

Heaven

Heaven is the area which connects T Lower to Lamp Room and Mid. It can be used by Ts for a mid split, with supporting teammates pushing from Elbow.
