CS2 & CS:GO sv_competitive_minspec Command

sv_competitive_minspec <0 / 1>

This command sets whether or not client convars are limited to their minimum/maximum values (e.g. field of view) to prevent players from getting a big competitive advantage. Default is 1 (enabled), which is recommended.

Argument Information

The syntax for this command is as follows:
Name Description
0 / 1

Set to 0 to disable forcing the client convars to their minimum/maximum values. Set to 1 to disallow the client setting convars outside of their min/max values (default and recommened).

sv_competitive_minspec 0

This command makes it so that convars will not be forced to be within their min/max values.

sv_competitive_minspec 1

This is the default and recommended setting. This command will make convars be forced to be within the minimum and maximum values. For example, this will stop a player from setting their field of view higher than is allowed by the maximum value.
