There's nothing worse than having to waste 15 seconds, a minute, or maybe even longer (depending on your server settings), for the warmup on your Counter-Strike server or offline game with bots to end. Thankfully, you can use a simple console command to instantly skip the warmup and start the game.
1. Enable the Developer Console
Skip this step if you've enabled the developer console before.
Head to your CS2 or CS:GO settings, click Game
, then select Yes
on the Enable Developer Console
dropdown.
If you need more detailed help, check out our CS:GO and CS2 console guide.
2. Commands to Instantly End Warmup
Open the console by pressing `
or ~
on your keyboard.
Once you've got the console opened, all you need to do is type the following command into the console to end the warmup:
mp_warmup_end
3. Alternative - Shorten Warmup Commands
If you'd like to shorten the warmup, rather than instantly skip it and go straight to the game, use the following command (replacing SECONDS with the amount of seconds you want to shorten it to):
mp_warmuptime SECONDS
For example, the following command would shorten the warmup to 10 seconds:
mp_warmuptime 10
More Warmup Commands
There are a bunch of other interesting console commands that you can use to alter the warmup duration in Counter-Strike. If you want to end the warmup when a certain number of players have connected to the game, this command would do the trick (replace PLAYERS with the amount of players that need to connect before it ends):
mp_endwarmup_player_count PLAYERS
Replacing PLAYERS with 5 would make the warmup end when 5 players have connected to the server:
mp_endwarmup_player_count 5
