If you're anything like us, you think having the regular knife in CS2 is boring. The good news is that there's a way to change things up on your own server or on a practice map if you have access to the console and sv_cheats. The even better news is that it's really easy to do!
Change Knife with Console Commands
First, enable and open the console (the default key is `
or ~
). If you don't know how to do this see our CS2 and CS:GO console guide.
After opening the console, run these commands:
sv_cheats 1; mp_drop_knife_enable 1
Then, drop your knife on the floor and hover your crosshair over it:
With your crosshair over the knife, open the console and run the following command to set it to a butterfly knife (don't worry, we explain how to change it to a different type of knife afterwards):
subclass_change 515
To change your knife to a different type of knife, change the 515
in the above command to a number from the list below.
